Johnny Steven Rodgers (born July 5, 1951) is an American former football player. He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and won the Heisman Trophy in 1972, the first wide receiver to win the award. Rodgers played professionally in the CFL and in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers. He was inducted into the College football HOF in 2000.
